Builders Watson Caviness and Chris Cates founded Caviness & Cates Communities in 1999. Fayetteville, NC based, the company began operations in Myrtle Beach in 2015 with their first appearance at Waterbridge, Brighton Lakes and Wild Wing Plantation. In 2018, Caviness & Cates expanded their Grand Strand presence by enlarging their portfolio of lots when R.S. Parker decided to shift from builder to developer.
